Meet our team
Monica Rekhan blends deep operational discipline with entrepreneurial instinct, uniquely positioning her to acquire, lead, and scale a services business.
As an Assistant Vice President at Citi, Monica contributed to more than $15 million in cost savings and guided sensitive transitions including branch optimization, workforce changes, and global reorganizations. These experiences gave her a deep understanding of both financial levers and the people behind them.
From centralization to offshoring execution, Monica has built her career on creating stability through change and helping teams thrive in complex, regulated environments. She brings that same steadiness and empathy to Alka Oaks.
Monica is a first-generation women professional who rewrote expectations. She finds joy in books on human behavior and games like poker and Catan, reflecting her instinct for long-term strategy and complex decision making.
Professionally, Charles has built a foundation across every layer of private markets from allocator diligence to GP co-investments and direct underwriting.
Through his career across Cambridge Associates, HarbourVest Partners, and StepStone, he has helped manage portfolio strategy and commitment pacing across 40+ funds and 15 investment strategies, building dynamic capital utilization models and improved internal decision-making.
He has also led teams through valuation, LBO modeling, and credit investing on $300M+ in transaction volume, and nearly 1000+ total evaluated deals, with a focus on financial services, B2B software, industrials, and IP/content businesses.
